This is demonstrating captioning layered on top of YouTube videos. I'd like to do this for NodeTube as well, and open source it and such, if I can get some enthusiasm for it. A few things to notice. This is different than YouTubes captioning in that it isn't part of the video itself...I don't own these videos, but I can layer on top of them. This can be done syllable by syllable, which is not just for lyrics but great for kids learning to read, they can follow with their eyes. You'll notice the piano notes, that is my main project, and shows the sophistication with which I can synchronize things with YouTube videos, but it can be separated from the captioning. You'll also notice I can drop out the audio on bad words (near the end, I kill the f word uttered by a clam).
