obviously , I meant east facing. But hey: the clip illustrates my point exactly. a miniature human placed somewhere on the dark area of the disk would see the dude's flashlight

So, how are the nightlight areas shielded from seeing the ginormous light source that illuminates the daylight areas? I live on a west facing mountain side. It's dark here but I can still see the areas 15 km away in the west that still get evening sun because they are outside the mountain's shade. Or it can be darkish here during storms but 15km away I can see sunlight breaking through the dark clouds. And those two example are teeny tiny localised phenomena. How do people in already dark Poland not see whatever is still fully illuminating Germany when they look up? How does that shielding work? 👀 🤔 Wait, it doesn't 🤓🙄🤣
