From her album "Interstellaires", Mylene Farmer's rock number- "Love Song", her ode to those who live without Love- translated and subtitled for your listening pleasure. This song by Mylene has never been played live, so i used pics of Mylene from concerts in 1999 for photos, as well as various others from photo shoots. Mylene is unrivaled as a poet of word-play, and this song is basically non-translatable, even though i have tried. In the slow mid-break, she uses the root "Bal", to signify multiple meanings. She is referring to a pendulum- both literally and metaphorically. She is also referring to the judicial symbol (Lady Justice)- which of course implies morality and choices made in life. She is also referring to a social gathering. And finally there is the suggestion of evil, "Baal" being one of the devil's many names. And so for my English equivalencies, i was not able to accurately reflect the complex flow of that part in the same way a French speaker will understand it. But i hope my take flows well for an English speaker all the same. Here are my English equivalencies.
