The title track from Mylene Farmer's 2018 album, "Desobeissance", translated and subtitled in English. The photos of Mylene are from her official video of this song, as well as various photos from live concerts in 1996, 1999 and 2009. This song is constructed with two verses and a chorus line that is repeated, and it has a fantastic pulsating bass pattern throughout. When the song reaches its chorus, Mylene's angelic voice soars in those long notes her fans crave and love to hear. Mylene is a word-smith of the highest order, and her lines can mean many things to many people at the same time. She creates neologisms, double and triple meanings, acronyms and anagrams, and her lyrics explore all facets of the Human condition...even those difficult to look at. But the lyrics to this song are more straight-forward than her usual style of writing, and Mylene in this song opens her heart concerning her experiences with the idea of obedience- with some very eloquent but frank expressions of being in good places, and being in dark places in your life.
