Even the Bible makes it clear on contagious disease. You are to quarantine the sick who can spread contagious disease, not lock down a whole society.
We change things here by each of us if not already having done so, by coming back to Jesus Christ and the foundation of free western society built on Christian values.
Btw before anti Christians and athiests flame me, let me tell you that for 20-25 years of my adult life I left faith I had as a youth and was either athiest or agnostic. I was a blind liberal blowhard. My red pilling of life seen around me has had me find my way back to seeing Jesus in my life.
