Let's be clear about one point; there is no such thing as a 'natural resource'. There is human ingenuity which exploits whatever materials are available for the betterment of mankind. The principal characteristic of the Malthusian mentality is the extreme arrogance, which dismisses the possibility that there are minds superior to theirs which are capable of solving the alleged problems facing mankind, and indeed they are strongly opposed to any solution which does not involve genocide. They are intellectual midgets; boy-kings having influence far beyond what their limited wisdom merits.
