It's easy to understand the WHATs, but the WHYs continue to elude me. WHY would some want to replace the current beneficent economy with something so radically flawed?

I was searching what the phrase "build back better" might be in Germany, and I found a position paper on the website of the German Federal Environment Agency (Environmental Protection Agency) titled "European Green Recovery – Building back better based on the Green Deal." Date of publication: October 2020. Link below, the text is in English. Basically they talk about a centrally planned economy, which promotes everything "Green" with tax payers money and "quantitative easing." That's how they do it, forcing their ideology on to society by discriminating against those who don't want to be "sustainable" as defined by the UN. Unfortunately most of those ministers are trained in gender, like in the US, so they don't really know much about anything but ideology, which for example lead to German Federal Environmental Agency Ministress Svenja Schulze to throw a load of tax payers money out of the window for those failed Solar Roadways. https://www.umweltbundesamt.de/publikationen/european-green-recovery-building-back-better-based
