The Government bureaucracy is not putting a price on life, but are putting a cost on living our lives. They are indebting the public to stifle our God given lives in liberty and sticking us with the bill to boot. Wake up people and push back.

I was woken up one morning last year by my landlord hammering on my door yelling that the building was on fire and ended up being rushed into intensive care due to severe smoke inhalation - didn't give my consent 'coz I wasn't able to, and that's one thing. Heard the initial covid reports on the radio and it sounded like the government was going to 'do a Sweden' and not lock down, then I can remember my disappointment when they locked down anyway. It's obviously political (all the people I know in favour of it are Labour voters, tree huggers and in most cases pro EU) and very noticeable in the US where figures for non-locked down (Republican) states appear to have recorded similar excess death rates as neighbouring locked down (Democrat) states. Now there's talk of 'Vaccine Passports' so that the government can keep an eye on where everyone is going and when - Big Brother much?

I have been dealing with this for over 30 years as a consulting environmental engineer. the US EPA and state bureaucracies have been using health based risk assessments to decide allowable land use based on trace contaminants and in some cases naturally occurring substances for many years. If they want to shut a project down for whatever political reason they just change the risk assumptions, ignoring the facts that many risks can be mitigated by engineering controls or that their assumptions are totally unreasonable. The bureaucrats saw their opportunity to test the limits of their power with SARS Covid 2 and they took it.

Exactly! With all restrictions and lockdowns, in some places even curfews, people are robbed of "quality of live"! If 300 million people have a severally degraded "quality of live" during a year and the average duration of a live is 85 years this corresponds 300 / 85 = 3.5 millions lives "vasted"! Or at least having been made rather joyless!

We put a price on life every, single day. We weigh the risks, and decide to drive, to fly on a plane, to go up on the roof to work on the house, to swim in the ocean, to go on a hike, to take a shower. All of these things carry as great or greater risk than dying of the flu, yet we do them every, single day.

It's We the People who get to decide how we live our lives. The last things we need are more bureaucracies dictating our behaviors. Leave us alone.
