Cute pictures. 😊 Ice, winter, bears...

Also, the melting ice did not cause the ocean currents to fail - which is another favorite of the alarmists.

I must admit, being visually impaired, I sometimes get lazy and let Siri type for me and I don’t correct the grammatical errors. I am grateful for this technology I am also grateful for Tony Heller and others who are intellectually honest despite social and political persecution

One of the newer theories in climatology is that ice shelves calving off of Antarctica could cause rapid global temperature drop, possibly ushering in a new ice age. This is exactly opposite of what Algore and CNN have been telling the public.
TonyHeller666
Of course! Though it's not new!!!. It's a regulative process!!. Not sure about a new ice age though! 🤔. Consistency, yes!??.. Can you show what Algore & CNN have said!??

I think and we should let these weirdos rant and rave. When reasonable people come to these websites and read these comments, they can clearly see who the logical people are and who the crazy people are. Hey 666, how are those climate models working out for you?
Mikeyh0
Kids and many adults enjoy the hobby of building models. Aircraft of all sorts, ships, buildings, etc. 666 bought a climate model kit and took it home. All that was in the box was a foul smelling vapor, a blindfold and a set of ear plugs. He has been blaming climate "skeptics" ever since.

It would be good if all the spam comments from "TonyHeller666" could be purged! I have on "newtube" not found any way to individually block comments from a known named "troll" to appear on the screen! On "BETA-system" this option is offered

Hey Matsie boy!!!... Maybe try not reading or commenting on my Posts!??... 🤔... You reckon that might work!!? Or do you have an agenda too!??

TonyHeller666
Wowwww, looks like Tony has been sucking on the back of that tail pipe of his SUV again!! 😝... Some more great cherry picking from the man again hey!! 🤗... I'm not going to go though it all, ATM!!!. But firstly, let's just remember that sea ice & glaciers act & are a hell of a lot different to each other for many reasons!! & That the fact that arctic region as a whole has never been ice free in any time frame of humanity's history!!!. So how do I know that!!? 🤔... So now let me do some cherry picking of my own!!! 😝... @4.05- scientist didn't fucken predict or say that the glacier national park would be ice free by 1948!! 🙄. Though you could just listen to some choice words from your man, your leader, the one that you all believe, the holy man, the one that you choose to follow!!!... You cute little sheepies you! 😝... Yeh, just some more of Tony's little tricks for you again!! 🤗... So did that go straight over your head!!?. Or straight through between the ears!?? 😝... The taking down of sign's was to update them for awareness, as why they were there to begin with!! & Then to place them back with updated information based on current scientific knowledge gathered from long term studies!! As our knowledge & scientific know how through technology has becomes far more superior to that of the good old days!!!... The conspiracy theorists where quick to jump onto that one though hey! 😝... Yeh sure there's still plenty of ice left!!. If you can call a loss of over 68% of the glaciers that are left over a 50 year period nothing to worry about! & That there is only 26 glaciers left out of 150 since 1850!!! https://www.usgs.gov/data-tools/area-named-glaciers-glacier-national-park-gnp-and-flathead-national-forest-fnf-including .... Written scientific evidence based on year's & year's of studying not enough for you though is it!!? 🤔. Studies that obviously has been on going since well before you were even born!!?... Ok, so would you like some pictures then!!?. Yeh I personally took all of these myself, so I know what's really going on here!! As I am the one man show! That knows everything!!!. https://www.usgs.gov/centers/norock/science/repeat-photography-project?qt-science_center_objects=0#qt-science_center_objects .... Ok!!!. So now the facts are!! That glaciers & see ice is receding & decreasing everywhere in the world as it's a world wide trend that has slowly been happening & slowly gaining more & more pace ever since the beginning of industrial revolution!!!. Though you do have little exceptions here & there, for a while!!... Everyone knows & understands natural cycles yeh!!?. Well what we are doing is not fucking natural!!!... What one generation see's today! Is not what a generation had seen yesterday or will see tomorrow!!... Tony seems to think we have been here for tens of millions of years! & That we can live in & though any pass environmental conditions that has happened before us!!! 🤔... So here's another fact for you!!. We have slowly evolved to be here for now! In these conditions that we are in & have now!!!... Ok so now here's a question for you now!!!... How much CO2 do you think we can handle!!?... 🤔
MrRumpelstilzchen100

Far too many words for someone who misinterprets -63 Fahrenheit as -17 Celsius (see https://newtube.app/TonyHeller/79y1nc6). Moreover, intelligence can be measured by how many words are needed to convey an argument.
FleaMagnet

Hey 666. You radicals keep screaming for everybody to trust the science. Science keeps, dare I say it, evolving. But here are a few scientific facts. Back during the Cambrian when CO2 was above 3000 ppm, life flourished. Humankind has evolved to live in the Arctic, in the Sahara, in the rainforest, etc. etc. Every single warming and cooling. In earths history has been natural, including this one. It will also end with a cooling trend, and it may be already happening. You keep screaming that humans are going to become extinct. One day you may grow up and become a reasonable person.
TonyHeller666

At least I could & can corrected myself!!... Are you like them grammar police that always get around & got nothing better to do then to troll??. Do you think you or your master Tony or any of the 97%er's in here would ever do the same!!. Like would 'any' of you, really do it!!? 🤔... Think hard my new friend!! & Then get back to me!!! 🤗

How much extra co2 are you huffing behind your slave muzzle, like the media controlled traumaton you are? How much more CO2 are you sucking down to celebrate your allegiance to your social engineering handlers? Twice as much? 3 times as much? It’s kind of hypocritical to claims humans can’t handle much more co2 while at the same time advocating masks that effectively triple the mount of co2 inhaled. Consistency in thought isn’t really your thing, though, is it? I’m willing to bet, you are one of those people that actually like wearing your face diaper. You parade it around proudly as if it’s a symbol of your devotional servitude to your masters. I Maybe you even got an embroidered one that says “I love sodomy”. You are definitely making both Soros and Kill Gates proud with your dedication to their depopulation cult. It’s nice of them to give you a prepackaged, ready made identity to adopt into your persona, just in time to avoid your inevitable narcissistic ego collapse. At least for now.

Actually, I've only been spewing it for a couple of decades. It all started when I read an article decades ago about the arctic circle countries all starting to fight in the world courts about who had the right to develop the mineral resources of the arctic ocean. What did the people with money know back then about what the future of the arctic. Fast forward to today, and russia has a fleet of ice breakers, is shipping oil thru the northwest passage and other countries are trying to catch up. But people like you, have your head stuck in the mud, while getting an sunburn on your ass.

AnalEnthusiast666, and there it is. The belief that there are too many people on the planet, the root of your self loathing. No wonder you’re so crippled with deep seated shame that you eagerly put on your slave muzzle, giving you that slight asphyxiation, teasing your subconscious desires to rid the world of your shameful existence. When the state tells you to get in a fema camp, because your just a dirty little planet killer, you will walk right in, head hanging in shame, and close the door on yourself. It all started with what you did to your little sisters gerbil that frightful night. You shouldn’t have done that.

Shamebot666, how much do you hate yourself, traumaton? Just think how much you’re destroying your mother Gaia with your dirty little human CO2 excrements. You put on your hero cape, parading around as if you are the savior of the planet, but deep down inside, the shame festers. The subconscious shame of killing your archetypal mother with your filthy existence. Filthy, shameful , dirty sodomite that tries to compensate for his self loathing with his petty hero larping shenanigans, but we all know that the Shamebot666 excretes that poison gas, CO2, effectively making you a disease of mother Gaia. No wonder you’ve mistakenly and incessantly mined for solace from your orifice expansion rituals with total strangers, seeking redemption for your human filthiness with abusive and self deprecating acts of sodomy. Who old you that you could find reconciliation for your trauma inside a poop chute? I know who told you this. Your “god” told you this. Your god is the Soros controlled media that you’ve slurped like a crack hoe behind a dumpster, desperate for a personality to adopt into your vacant psychology. Instead of developing a personality from personal accomplishments, you took the cheap and dirty route out of desperation. You built your entire personality from Soros and globalist banker provided, ready made persona ornaments. Your entire personality was engineered in a back office at the pentagon decades ago. Your sodomy addiction is just your way of attempting to cope with an inherently vacant moral identity. It’s why you keep coming back here, subconsciously looking for someone to call you out, desperate for the father figure you never had to give you the boundaries you crave. Deep down inside, you know your lust of anal sports are corroding your soul, Sodomy Sodderson.
TonyHeller666

Sodomite666, No. I’m not like you at all. My entire personality isn’t suspended by Soros’ narratives of nihilistic self deprecating faggotry, resulting in the chronic fecal incontinence that plagues your feeble existence. Was it worth it, traumaton? All that shameless coke fueled butt pumping at the jackhammer saloon with your commie larper comrades, blowing out your various orifices night after night, at the cost of uncontrollable leakage and a life long diaper expense? At least you got to parade around in your faggot “save the planet” larper costume at the extinction rebellion death cult rituals, finally giving you the attention your father never gave you, giving you a moments respite from your crippling self loathing of being an incompetent meat sack that it’s only “value” is its capacity as a jiz receptacle. It’s seeping from your ears and you look a bit swollen, comrade.

@Tony Heller You are a hack. You bring up an isolated event (a day,a month, maybe a single year at most) and say since that event happened in the past in a small geographic area, there is no way that climate change could be causing it now. The difference is the changes happening now are global, are consistent over decades, getting worse in the last decade. But keep spending your time digging up your isolated events with your mindless neanderthal brain.

From the Synthesis: "The projections show that the temperature and precipitation in Longyearbyen will increase towards the end of the century. Under the emission scenario RCP8.5 the median value indicates that the annual temperature will increase by 8.5 °C and the CCLM indicates an increase of 6.5°C; - i.e. the annual mean temperature for Longyearbyen will increase to above 0 °C. The winter temperatures will increase more than the summer temperatures. The median RCP8.5 projection indicates an increase of 40% in the annual precipitation, whereas the CCLM projection indicates an increase of 20%. In addition, the frequency and intensity of heavy rainfall events will increase. The wind simulations for a future climate do not indicate significant changes, either in magnitude or in direction." Could you please elucidate a bit about the models that you were using in your assessment, and how you validated the parameter values? Just curious.

Notmev, 1921 was very warm in parts of the United States. It delivered record warmth for south central states. Warmth for Swalbard would not be an "isolated" event. Stop trying to bury climate and weather anomalies of the past to make current times look "disastrous" please. Thank you.

@Franklin_Taylor Do you even realize that you proved my point??? "1921 was very warm in parts of the United States". One year and parts of the USA! what happened in 1920, 1922. What happened in other parts of the USA or Canada or Europe for those years. The difference with the recent global climate change is that it is GLOBAL, spanning multiple decades, speeding up in the last decade, no other theories match the existing climate changes, multiple lines of evidence,....

notmev - "You bring up an isolated event (a day,a month, maybe a single year at most) and say since that event happened in the past in a small geographic area..." You should know this statement of yours is completely false, if you've listened to all the videos you claim. TH documents warm periods that a decade, or decades, or even longer. One small example, a TH history of climate from 1925 to 1937. Climate history, when the CO2 level was 300 ppm, from 1925 to 1937. Just a little preview; 1925 -Worst tornado in US history killed 1,000 people and injured 3,000 in dozens of cities and 3 states. (2018 was the first year in US history where there were no EF-4 or EF-5 tornadoes.) 1927 - Worst floods in US history. Mississippi River was flooded for 6 mos. 100s of thousands of Black homesteaders lost their homes and fled mostly to Northern cities. 1927 - The Red Cross listed 1927 as the worst disaster year in US history, with 111 disasters, including 29 tornadoes, 24 major floods, 23 major fires, and 9 hurricanes. 1927 - 1000 bridges were destroyed in Vermont in record flooding, The Lt Governor drowned! 1927 - 99 degrees was recorded in New York on Oct 2nd. 1934 - One of the hottest year in US history. The drought was WORLD-WIDE! 1935 - Labor Day hurricane with 200 mph winds. 1936 - Hottest summer on record, and coldest winter on record! 1936 - July 7th, 31 cities over 100 degrees. In one week after July 25th 12,000 people were dead from the record heat. 1936 - Flood in Pittsburgh had the downtown area under 10' of water! There was more, this is just an excerpt. And all this and 300 ppm of CO2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EFNlTC2FY0&t=242s

@Outrigger777 "a TH history of climate from 1925 to 1937. Climate history" Again, that was one part of the US. What was happening around the world at the same time. Can you understand that at all???? Have you read anything about what/why the heat wave and subsequent dust bowl happened, AND why it stopped????

And there's this, from the summer of 2019, by Joel Myers, CEO Accuweather; "Here is a fact rarely, if ever, mentioned: 26 of the 50 states set their all-time high temperature records during the 1930s that still stand (some have since been tied). And an additional 11 state all-time high temperature records were set before 1930 and only two states have all-time record high temperatures that were set in the 21st century (South Dakota and South Carolina)." .....Throwing Cold Water on Extreme Heat Hype... By Dr. Joel N. Myers, AccuWeather Founder and CEO ....... https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-blogs/realimpactofweatherwithdrjoelnmyers/throwing-cold-water-on-extreme-heat-hype/472687

notmev - Again, if you had really listened to TH videos like you claim, you would know that he documents extreme heat and drought that happened around the world in the 1930s, including the Arctic. Not every part of the world, but in many many places all around the world. It was not confined to US by any means.
notmev
@Outrigger TH uses data from time series that were never meant for tracking climate trends. He does this with US temps, does it with arctic ice. None of you probably ever go back to the sources of the data and read what it is based on, what it should be used for, AND what it should not be used for. And AGAIN, global climate change is different than what tony pushes in all his videos. Go to this site: https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cag/global/time-series/globe/land_ocean/ytd/12/1880-2020?filter=true&filterType=binomial Change the time spans, change the geographic areas. It contradicts his conclusions. Just try and learn how he lies to you. Put in a little effort.

@notmev: This www.ncdc.noaa.gov PDFstudy wasn't meant to prove AGW, but to inspect this cycle of glacier retreat. Moreover, many graphs have thus low a resolution to make it impossible to appreciate the scale units. And it acknowledges the Little Ice Age, so it has to indirectly acknowledge the medieval warmth period. When the Vikings settled in Greenland, it seems there was a draught period in California too, so this was not just regional.

@MrRumpelstilzchen100 Try reading what real scientists say. They qualify what they know and don't know. Completely different than deniers like tony who CLAIM to know the "truth". No probabilities, no qualifications, no need for future analysis. They are just brilliant, and can declare it to all. Read https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uploads/2018/03/ipcc_far_wg_I_chapter_07-1.pdf as an example what scientists know AND don't know about the little ice age and the medieval warming period. Or from: https://archive.ipcc.ch/ipccreports/tar/wg1/070.htm The terms Little Ice Age and Medieval Warm Period have been used to describe two past climate epochs in Europe and neighbouring regions during roughly the 17th to 19th and 11th to 14th centuries, respectively. The timing, however, of these cold and warm periods has recently been demonstrated to vary geographically over the globe in a considerable way (Bradley and Jones, 1993; Hughes and Diaz, 1994; Crowley and Lowery, 2000). Evidence from mountain glaciers does suggest increased glaciation in a number of widely spread regions outside Europe prior to the 20th century, including Alaska, New Zealand and Patagonia (Grove and Switsur, 1994). However, the timing of maximum glacial advances in these regions differs considerably, suggesting that they may represent largely independent regional climate changes, not a globally-synchronous increased glaciation (see Bradley, 1999). Thus current evidence does not support globally synchronous periods of anomalous cold or warmth over this timeframe, and the conventional terms of Little Ice Age and Medieval Warm Period appear to have limited utility in describing trends in hemispheric or global mean temperature changes in past centuries. With the more widespread proxy data and multi-proxy reconstructions of temperature change now available, the spatial and temporal character of these putative climate epochs can be reassessed.

Michael Schellenberger, award winning environmentalist, today apologized in Forbes Magazine for decades of global warming extremism.. From the article. ...... -Humans are not causing a “sixth mass extinction” -The Amazon is not “the lungs of the world” -Climate change is not making natural disasters worse -Fires have declined 25% around the world since 2003 -The amount of land we use for meat — humankind’s biggest use of land — has declined by an area nearly as large as Alaska -The build-up of wood fuel and more houses near forests, not climate change, explain why there are more, and more dangerous, fires in Australia and California - Carbon emissions have been declining in rich nations for decades and peaked in Britain, Germany, and France in the mid-seventies -Adapting to life below sea level made the Netherlands rich not poor -We produce 25% more food than we need and food surpluses will continue to rise as the world gets hotter -Habitat loss and the direct killing of wild animals are bigger threats to species than climate change -Wood fuel is far worse for people and wildlife than fossil fuels -Preventing future pandemics requires more not less “industrial” agriculture

The academic casualty list includes Peter Ridd, Bob Carter, Murry Salby, Bjorn Lomborg, David Legates, Nick Drapela, Pat Michaels, Mitchell Taylor, and now Susan Crockford. Outside academia those expunged from screens include David Bellamy, Johnny Ball, Phillip Vernier. Forced out of institutes were Caleb Rossiter and Lennart Bengtsson. The threat of RICO investigations drove Roger Pielke into a different career. Read “my unhappy life as a climate heretic“. ..... Al Gore sacked Will Happer and William Gray. ... William Gray was a pioneer in Tropical Storm forecasting, but when he told Al Gore he couldn't go along with his global warming ideas, Al had his Federal funding cut off. But his stature as a climate scientist was so high that insurance companies kept funding his work, because they had to have a reasonable idea of what their liability would be during the hurricane season. ........ Others put up with the bullying and stay silent til they retire like Dr Rex Fleming from NOAA or they report anonymously after working for 40 years at the National Weather Service. Sometimes the bullying even follows people home, like Dr Fisher, economist and former ABARE manager who’s house was egged. All he did was model the costs of climate policies. Art Robinson ran for Congress and his three children were targeted at Oregon State Uni. No doubt there are more.

Impressive list of non climate scientists. Even Dr. Sebastian Lüning has never published a peer-reviewed climate change article. Which is ok for a geologist working for the oil and gas industry. His map purporting to show that the MWP was global is misleading at best. The global map shows different studies and their geographic location. A real analysis would graph the anomalies, the date ranges, and the geographic spread. If he had it would of matched what real climate scientists have found: https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2003EAEJA.....3382G/abstract https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-019-1401-2 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41561-019-0400-0 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_large-scale_temperature_reconstructions_of_the_last_2,000_years https://www.nap.edu/resource/11676/Surface_Temps_final.pdf https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uploads/2018/03/ipcc_far_wg_I_chapter_07-1.pdf https://archive.ipcc.ch/ipccreports/tar/wg1/070.htm https://skepticalscience.com/medieval-warm-period.htm As for the threats to deniers, the difference is that I object to threats like that to deniers and climate scientists. Climatologists are people who conduct basic research on the Earth’s climate system, which involves devising hypotheses, designing experiments, producing models and simulations, gathering data, and publishing papers about their results. But scientific studies are published in public journals so people from diverse backgrounds have access to them in order to critique them. Smart people with technical training are capable of analyzing and criticizing work from other fields. The laws of physics are the same for everybody. Climatologists as well as engineers study and use thermodynamics, EM-radiation, fluid mechanics, organic chemistry, atmospheric science, numerical modeling, finite element analysis, statistics, etc. The disciplines that climate scientists use are not hermetically sealed. And William Gray is head and shoulders above most climate scientists. And nothing about the intimidation of people who won't agree to current dogma?

@Outrigger777: I'd like to add: .. and nothing about why people working for their own public funding should be more trustworthy than experts working for industries in high (and voluntary) demand. And yes, Climatologists are an amalgamation of scientific disciplines, the Climatology was taken care of by geologists and meteorologists before the advent of the ideologization of weather and climate.

@notmev: Interesting, some of your counter arguments. Although I've no time to study all your links now, I'll take a closer look into your argument about regional varying warming periods in the near future. But on the other hand, heat phenomena differ regionally also nowadays, for example it might be hot in Europe when it is cool in the USA, and vice versa. And Tony showed there is no warming trend in the USA in relation to unadjusted data. Also, the reasoning for these adjustments seems to be kept Top Secret.

"advent of the ideologization of weather and climate" It is not idealization, it is specialization. Roy Spencer publishes papers on satellite climate measurements that I've read and will continue to read. He does not publish papers on the ice cores or tree rings. For a fucking reason. He has not specialized in that area! William Gray WAS the preeminent expert on hurricanes. Was. He is not head and shoulders above real climate scientists. Spencer can and does get papers published in peer reviewed journals. Gray only published articles about hurricanes in peer reviewed articles. All his anti anthropogenic climate change went to non peer reviewed places for a reason. Now there are 2 areas of thought on that. Deniers claim a global conspiracy against anyone trying to publish articles claiming anthropogenic climate change doesn't exist. Most scientists will tell you its because these people can't write a good research paper that can pass even a small level of scrutiny.

I was just looking at history of hurricane strikes on the US. This year the alarmists went crazy about all the hurricane strikes on the US. You know, taking a short one year period to "prove" their case about global warming like notmev accuses us of doing. Well, the alarmists weren't even right about a record number of hurricane strikes. There was only 1 major hurricane strike (level 3 or above), with 6 strike total on the US. There were 6 hurricane strikes in 2004 and 2005, and 7 in 1986. But the most interesting part was that there were only 9 hurricane strikes on the US from 2010 to 2019, which is a record low for a decade in US history. The highest number of strikes for a decade occurred in the 1880s with 26 strikes. And there were no major hurricane strikes from 2006-2016, which is also a record. It would appear that increased CO2 is calming hurricanes down, not producing more.

U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked PETER JAMES SPIELMANN June 29, 1989 UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP. He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control. As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown told The Associated Press in an interview on Wednesday. Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study. ″Ecological refugees will become a major concern, and what’s worse is you may find that people can move to drier ground, but the soils and the natural resources may not support life. Africa doesn’t have to worry about land, but would you want to live in the Sahara?″ he said. UNEP estimates it would cost the United States at least $100 billion to protect its east coast alone. Shifting climate patterns would bring back 1930s Dust Bowl conditions to Canadian and U.S. wheatlands, while the Soviet Union could reap bumper crops if it adapts its agriculture in time, according to a study by UNEP and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. Excess carbon dioxide is pouring into the atmosphere because of humanity’s use of fossil fuels and burning of rain forests, the study says. The atmosphere is retaining more heat than it radiates, much like a greenhouse. The most conservative scientific estimate that the Earth’s temperature will rise 1 to 7 degrees in the next 30 years, said Brown. The difference may seem slight, he said, but the planet is only 9 degrees warmer now than during the 8,000-year Ice Age that ended 10,000 years ago. Brown said if the warming trend continues, ″the question is will we be able to reverse the process in time? We say that within the next 10 years, given the present loads that the atmosphere has to bear, we have an opportunity to start the stabilizing process.″ He said even the most conservative scientists ″already tell us there’s nothing we can do now to stop a ... change″ of about 3 degrees. ″Anything beyond that, and we have to start thinking about the significant rise of the sea levels ... we can expect more ferocious storms, hurricanes, wind shear, dust erosion.″ He said there is time to act, but there is no time to waste. UNEP is working toward forming a scientific plan of action by the end of 1990, and the adoption of a global climate treaty by 1992. In May, delegates from 103 nations met in Nairobi, Kenya - where UNEP is based - and decided to open negotiations on the treaty next year. Nations will be asked to reduce the use of fossil fuels, cut the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases such as methane and fluorocarbons, and preserve the rain forests. ″We have no clear idea about the ecological minimum of green space that the planet needs to function effectively. What we do know is that we are destroying the tropical rain forest at the rate of 50 acres a minute, about one football field per second,″ said Brown. Each acre of rain forest can store 100 tons of carbon dioxide and reprocess it into oxygen. Brown suggested that compensating Brazil, Indonesia and Kenya for preserving rain forests may be necessary. The European Community istalking about a half-cent levy on each kilowatt- hour of fossil fuels to raise $55 million a year to protect the rain forests, and other direct subsidies may be possible, he said. The treaty could also call for improved energy efficiency, increasing conservation, and for developed nations to transfer technology to Third World nations to help them save energy and cut greenhouse gas emissions, said Brown.

@777outrigger Not sure if it was you that I already pointed this out to, but nice move the ladder trick. Scientists do not predict US land strikes from hurricanes, you moron. https://www.noaa.gov/media-release/busy-atlantic-hurricane-season-predicted-for-2020 "NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a likely range of 13 to 19 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 6 to 10 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 3 to 6 major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5; with winds of 111 mph or higher). NOAA provides these ranges with a 70% confidence. " What actually happened:"The season featured a total of 31 (sub)tropical cyclones, all but one of which became a named storm. Of the 30 named storms, 13 developed into hurricanes, and six further intensified into major hurricanes"

@notmev: What “parroting”? The reasoning for these adjustments hasn’t reached the broad public, including me. Period. @notmev: I want to supplement the excellent reportings of Outrigger777 by a question to you, our “Climate Control “and rationing fan: Why do your “truthers” never make the radiative force already in place a topic. At most, 50 % of infrared absorbed by greenhouse gases can be emitted backwards to earth. Honest believers in a greenhouse emergency would assert something like 40 % are already radiated backwards in the CO2 window, and that we would need to keep the remaining 10 % open. Instead, radiation spectra form satellites are kept under a blanket.

@Outrigger777 you stated "It would appear that increased CO2 is calming hurricanes down, not producing more." Nowhere do any scientists predict hurricane strikes as a result of anthropogenic climate change. What the science predicts is that the number of hurricanes in the atlantic basin should stay about the same. But, because of a warming of oceans surface temperatures the probabilities of a hurricane increasing to a category 3,4,or5 is greater. Therefore there should be a shift to a higher number of larger storms and a shift to storms that rapidly increase. NO ONE says anything about increased hurricane landing due to climate change.

@MrRumpelstilzchen100 There is a reason I said "parroting". You said "Also, the reasoning for these adjustments seems to be kept Top Secret." I did one simple google search and came up with multiple articles by climate change alarmists and denialists agreeing with the rational and methods for the temperature reconstructions AND explaining them. My god, are you waiting for a scientist to come visit you at your home to help you understand???? Have you ever read even a section of an IPPC report? Have you ever looked at the data sources that tony refers to (like MASIE or USHCN) and that he loves to show. If you did you would understand what they should be used for, what they shouldn't be used for, and why.

Not what I've been reading. Yes, some climate alarmists have backed away from predicting more hurricanes due to global warming, even though you wouldn't know from the alarmist press, and an increase in intensity of hurricanes, but that hasn't happened either. 6 hurricane strikes on the US in 2020, 5 hurricanes under Level 3.

So are hurricanes actually becoming worse? Of the ten deadliest Pacific cyclones, nine occurred with CO2 below 350 PPM. Two of the ten deadliest occurred in 1881. The third deadliest occurred in 1780, and killed 100,000 people.

The deadliest Atlantic hurricane also occurred in 1780. Of the ten deadliest Atlantic hurricanes, nine occurred with CO2 below 350 PPM, and three occurred during the Revolutionary War.

@notmev: Oh, another “ladder trick”! I wasn’t writing about “the rational and methods for the temperature reconstructions”, as you’re trying to insinuate, BUT about the rational for changing of past temperature record. Two kettles of fish. And my other point (lately) was that “greenhouse” radiation back to earth cannot exceed 50 % and satellite measurements (graphs) are withheld from the public so there is no public awareness about how far or near we are from that maximum, instead Greta is placed front and center.

@TonyHeller666: None of the specifics we discuss here is answered by your link to https://youtu.be/y1MZ8U8C9c8, it’s all about political decision making based on censoring, mobbing, displacing/firing critics, “buying” scientific publication platforms through government influence. However, we learn there from approx. 01:42 something truly remarkable: President Lincoln signed into law the National Academy of Sciences in 19[!]63. Wow! And what’s more, this guy in the CNN interview doesn’t seem to bother if 50 inches of rain in Houston happened already in times of lower CO2 (hint: that’s similar to the “weather vs climate” thing).

@notmev: To be more specific, the public, which hasn’t all the time of the day to research like government funded scientists have, would surely appreciate to be informed summarily about what method changes necessitated which modifications of historic data, and if scientist did hereby properly consider the metropolitan warming up of the micro climate as a result of more cars, more energy consumption, more sealed ground, but instead Greta is placed front and center by media fostered (therefore dependent) by the government.
