In country like that you need to remove all vegetation (especially trees, sagebrush, buckbrush, cheatgrass, et al) for firebreak at least 10 meters around house and all outbuildings. 20 meters is better. Expect fires to happen at any time and maintain firebreak ground free from fuel sources. Drag ground and lightly wet to keep down dust.

I live nearby, in construction for many decades, I've seen many chinook winds worst than this. One took out all windows on west side and filled house with sand drifts, another lifted newly installed subfloor off foundation and shifted it 10' off center.. This was puppy shit..

If you look carefully at around :09 seconds in you can clearly see smoke upwind from the barn, behind what looks like some sort of mound. It could be that the road curves around that way and someone was dragging something. I saw a fire starting that way in the Bighorns once. Raced the few miles back down the road to the ranger station to report it, but they were already on it.

Hmmm, what to do ? Get a Fire extinguisher?

We have a word in danish "brandstorm", an old expression not used much now-a-days. It means fire storm. In danish storm only means heavey wind, gale. In english it also means bad weather.
