Software engineer here - you're a QA GOD. Writing tests is only in the past decade-or-so become a mainstay of software engineering. The notion of "test-driven" development is becoming more popular. Also, by testing, you are your first "customer" and can find flaws before inflicting it on unsuspecting co-workers who need your system. Bravo!

Great video, thanks Tony. Curious if the NOAA graph would show different data due to it being land and ocean compared with the temperature database you have built using land thermometer readings?

It seems that the global warming proponents claim the rest of the world shows consistent heating and Nasa matching the U.S. to the world is the right thing to do. It might be nice if you could create a video hypothesizing why the rest of the world's data doesn't show the heat spike of the 1930s.

I'm certainly no Tony Heller, but I can tell you that most of the world's "data" pre-satellite era was not actually physical measurements, but interpolated (and extrapolated) data generated by computers. Wanna take a guess at what computational model(s) are used to come up with the data needed to fill in the SPARSE measurement data sets? Oh, and Tony has done several videos about the *actual* reported weather records from Australia (note this territory was one of the best-represented weather record regions for ROW.
