The 'spike' protein on the COVID virus binds to a natural protein receptor that is embedded in specific cell types to varying degrees. The 'ACE-2' receptor is concentrated in vascular membranes, that is the cells of blood vessels and less so in the respiratory and intestinal tract. The virus attaches to this receptor in the nose and replicates. Depending on your innate immunity, your prior exposure to coronavirus that you obviously must have neutralized and become immune, and your physical health, probably it stays in your nostrils or maybe into your throat before 99% of people neutralize COVID 19. But in some it spreads into the lungs, but typically there is a defect in the immune response in those people, that is age and comorbidity. But, the vaccine creates an antibody to the spike protein. This is the important part. What does that antibody use as it's binding site. Well, the body does not reinvent the wheel; it pulls from it's genetic code the most effective available protein and replicates it- the ACE-2 receptor and attached it to a Ig-M or Ig-G immunoglobulin base. Might be this interfere with the essential renin-angiotensin vascular modulation in an unpredictable way in some individual who have underlying disease. Some. But the greatest impact would be on people who stress their vascular system with exercise
