Modern climate science appears to spend its time retrospectively associating all weather events with CO2. In most cases, even that doesn't exist, and it is a matter of pure faith. I am waiting for the observation that CO2 levels are high in the vicinity of volcanic eruptions to be presented as evidence that CO2 causes volcanoes to erupt. It's no more absurd than all the other 'shock horror' headlines. At least there is a measurable correlation, which most other fear porn lack.
