Just came back last night from a performance of Tosca at the MET. To get in you must show your drivers license and your vaccine card showing you had the jab. I got covid (tested positive for 2 weeks) in January 2021 and had myself vaccinated in July 2021 just in case working selling I was asked to prove I was vaccinated. Other than at the MET Opera last night no one has asked me to show the card. During the entire performance everyone had to wear the mask, only one (sorry Fauci not two). After over a year with the MET Opera closed and this season opened up finally all to attend must wear a mask, even with the mask on watching this performance of Tosca, it was absolutely beautifully performed by all, the orchestra was sublime. The last performance of Tosca I witnessed was in 2004 when Luciani Pavarotti performed his last time at the Met in the leading role at 68. Sad times wearing a mask and showing you had the jab to be able to watch Tosca but for my wife and I to attend this Saturday matinee yesterday of Tosca was sheer joy for both of us.
