First clue that NASA lies would be in the statement "a meteorite from Mars". Unh hunh. Sooo, the planet just ejected a meteorite_from its surface_towards Earth? Ejected it with enough force that it escaped the Martian "gravity" and hurtled inexorably towards the Sun only to be intercepted by the third planet. Sigh. How did I not notice this story back when I was 15? If I had, I would have interpreted any further comms from NASA with a much more critical mind.
