If, at any time in my career, I got a calculation two orders of magnitude out, I would have been told to clear my desk and be out of the building by lunchtime, yet Neil Ferguson is still there, dictating policy. Is there something about incompetent idiots which appeals to politicians? Perhaps they don't like being surrounded by people who can point out their intellectual limitations - safer to employ people who are stupider than they are.

Last October a Huge North Sea wind farm went off line and the backup gas plant went down ten minutes later and knocked the whole of Central England out for many hours through the evening rush hour affecting over one million people. Did no one tell you that is what would happen if THE WIND STOPS BLOWING.

People who strive to a high place in government tend to be psychopaths. They of course are the polar opposite of people who would never consider beginning the often long climb to a top government position. That makes it easier to see how, after years of service, a respected "leader" can suddenly disappoint his admirers by making a 180° turn from his or her former course, leading to confusion and demoralization of the people.

Someone, or some entity, must really have some huge dirt on Boris. Poor fellow.
