In the classic radio series, Paul Frees played wonderfully the role of Jethro Dumont, aka Green Lama. This amazing character, created by American pulp fiction and science fiction writer Kendell Foster Crossen, first started in Double Detective magazines of 1940, and he also had an early 1940's comic book series, collected in Green Lama hardcover Dark Horse book archives, along with the back stories of other characters of the time. The Green Lama also more recently made in the 21th century spectacular appearances in Dynamite Comics series like "Project Superpowers" and "Masks", along with many other golden age classic heroes, as well as Green Lama related novels published by Moonstone.
