The biggest scandal here concerns the so-called 'environmentally sound' credentials of these electric cars. Notice how the cost of building them is never factored in (the rare earth elements used in battery technology alone is horrendous) and the greenwash is now so rampant it's just not funny. Electric cars were tried first (they did not work then, and they do not work now - and they never will) and were replaced by the internal combustion engine, perversely enough invented in Germany!

You figure this how? https://seekandread.com/great-inventions-the-first-internal-combustion-engine/ BTW Rudolf Diesel is credited with inventing liquid fuel compression ignition engins but the truth is that he was not but due to personal connections, politics and skullduggery he was the first to be granted a patent.
