In 1928, George Bernard Shaw published, "The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Socialism and Capitalism," in which he distinguished between personal possessions and private property. Personal possessions are what people can wear and carry. Private property, (e.g. houses, transportation, and investments,) are what the State can take by way of gradual, (i.e. Fabian,) maneuvers like controlling money, (e.g. banking and inflation,) and taxing. Shaw's goal was the creation of a disinterested bureaucratic class. However, practical implementation ALWAYS favors creation of oligarchy, until the State nationalizes EVERYTHING.
