I was redpilled (before that movie coined the term) when a guy was turned away from becoming a police officer, because he was too intelligent. He appealed, and the judge upheld the refusal. Apparently, police forces don’t hire intelligent people because they can’t handle the boring routine jobs like patrolling and stakeouts. Reading about that explained a lot to me!
