The title claims the report addresses "Shaping the health of nations for centuries to come" - but since it would take the age of the universe squared to do a reasonably accurate climate forecast for about 10 years, we just don't think they can look down the road for centuries. Oddly, The Lancet focuses on global warming - which has paused for about 20 years, despite a rise in carbon dioxide (CO2). They also advocate for renewables, decarbonization, electric vehicles and coal phase-out - all of which will very detrimentally affect the sources of affordable, reliable electrical power! Modern medicine is only possible with affordable, reliable electrical power - so what are they doing? We suspect they are trying to respark dying public interest in climate change (an unpopular topic with citizens) by tying it to health care - one of the most important topics to citizens.
