The FDA has recently approved the use of these mRNA vaccines in children, although the only formulation approved is Comirnaty, which I believe is not actually available to be injected in anyone at this point. The reason they want it approved for children is because that is the source of their protection from any legal liability from vaccine injuries once for adults or children once they stop using the vaccine formulations under the emergency use authorization. I believe they also did the same thing for flu shots.
