While the mainstream media is attributing the rise in mosquito-borne viruses to the particularly hot summer this year, it is also worth noting that last year, a Bill Gates tech startup called Oxitec released millions of genetically modified mosquitos in the US. Bill Gates was so excited about the project that he even recorded a promotional video to boast that “mosquitoes are the deadliest animals to humans” and that he was going to release millions of them into the United States.
