Today I was horrified that Costco had brought in a policy target at the disabled and apparently to market face shields they sell that are not recommended nor a viable replacement for a mask according to AHS and The City Bylaws. This is a case of using a crisis to make money by deceptive means and specifically target a group op people in a protected class. Up to this week Costco had always been respectful to the disabled and even at the beginning they provided access so I didn't have to queue outside. They have never harassed me for my inability to wear a mask. I have been a Costco member for best part of 30 years. Our Family has been members in Costco for over 45 years. This behaviour was abhorrent. In their new policy only children UNDER THE AGE OF 2 are allowed in without a mask!!!. This is child abuse. How di I get an eye exam? How do I return products? How do I take advantage of localized sales (the same products and prices are not replicated on the online store). Nothing changed in the virus recently, but the main shareholders money did. It moved to China in the last month or so. A coincidence? This is not over and I hope Costco come to their senses and end this insanity and abuse immediately.
