Hi CIK! In my experience Bible purists like "KJV only" or "GB only" are usually suspicious of anyone who isn't in their group or don't hold to their point of view. I usually find the Bible version "debaters" are distracted from concentrating on what really matters - the message and whether it is truthful or not to both the Word and History. The KJV does have some small and mostly insignificant translation errors but they don't pose any kind of threat to understanding the actual meaning of the text. Nitpicking over small, usually grammatical or word semantics is counter productive in the long run. I actually compare ALL the corrupt texts with the KJV and i do have a copy of the Geneva Bible i can reference as well. The FOCUS of this video is ML and JK which is the topic at hand. I have produced 319 messages on all matter of topics centred around the Jesuit Order. In all those messages i have only dealt with these 2 individuals in passing. That's why i thought it was time to do 1 video on them only. The Reformation is a HUGE subject and the Geneva Bible is a video message all on its own. We were NOT being selective or "biased" just focused on the topic of the message. Thank you for your response William, I understand what you are saying, and you’re right, the best thing to focus on is God’s word, and having the gift of discernment to find the truth no matter the source. Try all things and take that which is good. I was a little frustrated because you are saying that all protestant christians are not going to be saved because they follow John Calvin and Martin Luther’s teachings. But I’d have to respectfully disagree because most protestant christians of that time followed God’s word and not John Calvin’s and Luthers. And yes Calvin and Luther were controlled opposition, but God used them as instruments to get his Word to the people. At that time the catholic church wouldn’t allow the bible to be translated to english, and would torture and kill anyone trying to preach the real Word of God. They were called protestants because they were protesting all the wrongdoings of the catholic church. They were following the real teachings of Christ and being persecuted by the catholic church for it. You’re could be called a protestant as well because you are also calling out the catholic church’s wrong doings. Doesn’t mean you’re not following the true teachings of Gods Word. King James hated the Geneva bible because of the anti catholic margin notes, and the margin notes that said not to follow earthly kings and Christ is our only king. He took out the word “tyranny” all throughout the old testament, and he also let archbishop bancroft make 14 changes to the kjb after it was translated, and didn’t disclose the changes.
