I had a job cleaning out soot from a 25 gallon kettle and wore a face mask. I used a shop vac to remove it all. There was no soot on the front side of the mask after the procedure. Guess what ? When I went home, took a shower, and afterwards blew my nose, there was soot on the napkin. This means that microscopic soot particles went right through the mask and yet there was no soot on the mask. Masks are a hoax.
