Hamilton's mayor, Fred Eisenberger, lied through his teeth when the Uber corporation rewrote Hamilton's taxi bylaw. After making a "deal" between the two taxi brokerages, the taxi school, and the Uber corporation, he dishonestly announced on Twitter, and elsewhere, that this disastrous change in taxi regulation was accomplished "with the backing of the taxi industry." Nothing could have been further from the truth.
