Something we used to sing at the Westmount High School football pep rallies. I only ever went to two Westmount football games even though we used to get Friday afternoons off to watch the game. I loved those half-days off. And I sure as shit wasn't going to waste that time watching high school football. Besides, we all knew what the result was going to be, Every morning, McUffin, or was it McGoughin? Who cares, he was the Principle. And every Monday morning he would tell us about what a great game our team played, despite the fact they lost. I don't know why not that there has to be a reason at that age. But somehow I ended up being at the first game Westmount ever won. It was a great game. Westmount played their hearts out. And, if my memory is accurate, they won that game without scoring a single touchdown. It was inspiring.
