As much as I like NewTube as a site, and as much as I like using it, the fact remains that unless the popular alt media creators start using NewTube and promoting it like they have been doing for BitChute since 2017, NewTube will always be a way smaller site than BitChute.
That being said, I would love to see that happen for NewTube. It's clear that Anthony has put in a lot of work into making the site unique and stand out from other sites in terms of the features on the site. I think alt-media creators will enjoy using NewTube once they are aware of its existence and try it out.
Honestly, people have wanted me to spread the word about NewTube more, but I've purposefully held off because of the simple fact that if I'm dealing with traffic I can't focus on coding! And I wanted the site to get to a point where I was satisfied with it, and then throw up an easy way to donate, and THEN get the site popular. It's started to get popular just a wee bit ahead of schedule but that's OK. I have to take a long term perspective here and growing too fast is actually one of the biggest risk factors, if you can believe it!
I have seen BitChute take the road of getting popular before their infrastructure was ready for it, and they were lucky to get through it. I'm glad that you're preparing your infrastructure in advance.
