I would like to know how much ownership overlap there is in Fossil Fuel energy companies and Green energy companies. I'm willing to bet they are largely co-owned. Higher energy prices are good for energy companies, and good for the monopolistic shareholders like Blackrock, Vanguard, & State Street. Most of what they sell is required, not a luxury commodity. They can charge whatever they want, and people will still need to pay, because they have no choice. What massive increases will do is stop people from spending that money in other more optional sectors of the economy.
