This fire was caused by a new gas used in refrigerators. I can't remember the name of it off hand but I was told by a tech about it. So I looked it up and sure enough that gas was in a whole lot of refrigerators that were made. That gas is sort of like natural gas I would say, get a leak and turn on a light switch, light a cigarette etc and boom up it blows. I for the life of me have no clue why anyone would put that type of gas in a refrigerator. I even contacted the company that made those refrigerators and they would not talk to me about any of it. I wonder why? Just a bit of information many do not know about. The tech guy explained it so well and gave me all the information about it, so I could do a bit of research into it. So people refrigerators could be bombs waiting to happen. I looked into the one I have, to make sure it was not one of those that go boom. Fortunately mine is fine. After all, green-zones experience smaller temperature swings (both overnight and seasonal) than arid-zones? Tony! The graph at the five minute mark might be a bit confusing to some people. Not the fact that water vapor DOMINATES the graph, that should be obvious to anyone who looks at the graph! But the X-axis in in logarithmic form; that tends to compress and diminish the number of outgoing IR photons. To offset that the Y-axis is also logarithmic, and subtly so. The energy of the individual incoming visible photons is greater than the energy of the individual outing infrared photons. There are more IR photons by orders of magnitude. Our sun's peak emission is in the green, a color that plants have focused upon to maximize energy extraction. Blah-blah-blah. What's my point? Energy flow! Please show the same graph with incoming energy and outgoing energy. How much of the light energy that impacts earth is reflected away in the visible region? How much in the infrared? The total will have to balanced. Well, except for thermal energy coming up from the ground (from fission in the earth's core). So the heat output of the earth will be more than the input from the sun by a small fraction.
