All coronaviruses mutate quickly and no prior attempt to create a vaccine has succeeded. COVID-19 is another coronavirus that has unusual features, and mutates at around the same rate. And guess what, vaccines developed for the initial virus is decreasingly effective against each successive variant. Who could have predicted this? Fortunately as with most new viruses, transmission is selected over pathogenicity as a favorable adaptive trait and it has nerfed itself. It has become it's own competition. Strangely, inspite of mandated vaccines, massive early deaths among the aged, the institutionalized, and the chronically ill, more ventilators, and rapid detection, MORE DEATHS have occurred with the virus. Of course, now there is an effort to diminish the COVID deaths by separation of dying with the virus and from the virus, and thereby confusing the statistics. Truth is fewer have died of COVID but because of the sensitivity of the tests, not only those active with the virus are found, but those who have asymptomatic carriage, those recently infected but still shed virus particles, and a lot of false positive tests. Anyone familiar with epidemiology notes the abyssal and counterproductive policies used during this pandemic. Certainly it was not guided by science. Certainly, science is transparent, shares data, accepts scrutiny and criticism, admits error, acts in good faith, encourages new perspectives and paths.

There are problems with some of the data, especially the reference to the UK. Prof Norman Fenton has analysed this. I recommend looking at his papers: https://www.normanfenton.com/covid-19 He has also looked at the UK case data which was used to force lockdowns on us. This is due to increased testing and poor definition of a case. Peaks appear in waves when the total cases are plotted but plot the cases based on 10,000 tests and there are no waves. Prof Fenton explains this. It could probably be the same in the USA.

Generally agree but to be fair, NOVOVAX is not approved under EUA yet, therefore it’s not in use. Further, NOVOVAX, is an antigen vaccine, not genetic based consequently its complication risk profile is much better than those currently in use. Now as to its effectiveness in preventing a disease that has a 99.7+% survival rate we will have to see.
