Taking Action Against Sea Level

  - 2:32

One thousand years ago, King Knut took his subjects to the sea to demonstrate that government does not control sea level. Unfortunately we don't have leaders that intelligent anymore.

Tony, I found an interesting paper regarding sea level, a conclusion within which was that: "The unpleasant fact is that none of these three techniques gives results with standard deviations smaller than 10 to 20 cm. Combinations of these techniques have been also considered by Cartwright (1984), but the potential accuracy improvement does not promise to be substantial." Humans were unable to adapt to the 300-400 foot sea rise that has occurred since the peak of the last ice age, 16000 years ago. They had no satellite data, no understanding of albedo, no global map, and certainly no understanding of green house gases. They had no major technology other than what existed in the stone age, bronze age and a bit of the iron age. It is unfortunate that humans perished due to their absolute inability to understand and predict that massive rise in sea level due to global warming. And if you believe humans exist still, you are obviously anti-science.

Plot twist. 100 years from now we realize all that sea level rise was because we keep putting more ships into the ocean.
