A few weeks ago there was a volcano that had a massive eruption visible from space blasting ash into the stratosphere. This fine ash takes years to settle out of the air and is will block enough sunlight to cool the climate for the next two to four years. No where near as bad as 1883 when Krakatoa erupted and resulted in the year with no summer. But it will make the winters much colder and result in diminished crop yields. But of course this will be all be blamed on climate change...
