Need to eliminate Cohen and his ilk from ALL of government.

Cohen and Inglis are both morons, but for different reasons. Cohen is devious, seeking to use these lies to advance his party's nefarious aims of unlimited government power in their hands in perpetuity. Inglis is a hopeless dupe and grifter.

A simple fact: I was born free, and though I may be tortured, disrespected, become an outcast I will die a free man!

Let me come at anthropogenic climate change in this way, for other arguments have been said. I ask and believe most people on earth are of faith. They have a belief in God as a creator of all life and all we see and live on earth and into the stars of the known universe. Now let me ask you all who have faith and belief in God, even those of you who are being led into believe in man made climate change, so I ask, is God perfect? Can or does God lie? Did God create the heavens and the earth in his vision of perfection and life? God created all, from animal to plant to water to geography to the sun, to all have a purpose. Would he create anything to not have a purpose? His intellect and intent was so perfect that unlike the other planets in our Solar system Earth was tilted on its axis 21°. Now think folks. Had he created Earth to stand straight up, the geography and climate would only allow agriculture and preponderance of life to flourish oh only between 30° North latitude and 30° South latitude. This would limit growing food or raising animals and as such life living for humanity more or less between those latitudes. But God is so intelligent he tilted the Earth giving us seasons and expanding agriculture through northern and southern growing seasons beyond what the areas between the tropics allow. This allows more food growth and geography to live on and use resources from. This tilt giving us seasons means variations in climate and weather as a result to which using a negative feedback loop God in his perfection made sure the climate would always stay within a general balance. So if you believe in God but also think man is capable of or is destroying the earth's climate, you are saying mankind is greater and more powerful than God.... Square that circle folks.

Here's an idea. Let's buy LOTS of diesel generators to run as backup to the "green" energy "solutions" being put in place. Never mind any Risk/Cost/Benefit analysis to the overall solution!

We used to ignore people like Steve Cohen who were so stupid and misled. We shouldn't have.

I live in Portland and it was hot, but I have also lived in Exmouth Western Australia back at the end of the 1970s. Because Exmouth is in the tropics, it has 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night, meaning that it's hot in the daytime but cools down at night. In Portland we got 15.5 hours of sun this week and 8.5 hours of night, so the morning temps only cooled down to 76F and the daytime high reached 115F. We just didn't have enough time to cool down. In 1980 we flew from Exmouth to Port Headland (20° south latitude) and suffered 115F, but because we had 12 hours of nighttime, it got reasonable again by the next day.

I think you need to average over the year for a sensible comparison. In winter the day/night durations are reversed. If this were not the case the planet's rotation rate would depend on latitude.

An important factor is the water vapour concentration. Contrary to the radiative theory based greenhouse effect, it reduces, rather than increases surface temperature, so Death Valley and the Sahara Desert are hot. The humid Amazon Basin, despite being near the Equator, is much cooler than a crude radiative balance calculation would indicate. In the frozen North, the atmosphere is again dry, so would be expected to be hotter than the naive calculation would predict. The greatest absurdity of the greenhouse effect narrative is that water vapour enhances the greenhouse effect and should increase the temperature - the exact opposite of what is observed.

Absolutely! That effect is never more pronounced than I've experienced simply moving from Roseburg, OR, to SW FL. It simply doesn't vary here by much more than 10F from day to night, whereas in CO and OR it would swing 30+ degrees as a matter of course. In the Mojave it could be 50F swings.

Ironically some of the most scientifically ignorant people are career politicians. And public education produces ignorant voters. Wash,..rinse,...repeat. 😑

It is inept and myopic for elected congressmen to not be able to review the documented record.

I found it curious that the NYT thought an 18-year-old boy marrying a 16-year-old girl was worthy of the front page. But the price was right - ONE cent.
