Greenland And Antarctic ice core are the famous ones, but humans weren't living there 1,000 of years ago. The glaciers in the Alps are very interesting because there is historical records there, people lived there. Here's a good line from this article. I find it ironic that someone is worried about 1 degree of temperature change in 20 to 100 years. When it is -50 degrees what the F does it matter if it is -49 degrees?. Well, okay, it's getting warmer. Taxing cow farts I doubt will have any effect on that. Nor will denying people warm houses in the winter and cool houses in the summer. Besides, Man does better when it is warmer so why try to halt it? BUT it has ceased to matter because the world is out of control due to, ironically, too many wanting to control it.

The alarmists are trying to erase the Medieval Warm Period in part by obsessing over million year old ice cores from Greenland that show evidence of flowering plants as if such temperatures were unknown in the intervening millenia. They want to remove the MWP which belies their claims of unprecedented warming.
