Carbon dioxide is indeed plant food. Coal, oil and gas are solar energy batteries, providing us with enormous amounts of low cost energy if the totalitarian bastards get out of the way.

The problem with coal, oil, and gas is that they are finite sources of low cost energy. The "totalitarian bastards" want to save what's left of these rapidly depleting resources for themselves.

Science has become a political thing. The government is the funding source for most science, so scientists say what the government tells them to say. "97% of scientists agree ... with whoever is funding them."
