As an investor in Canadian Natural Resources and an observer of all other major oil companies, I can tell you that they have all wasted literally tens of billions of dollars in an ridiculous effort to mitigate CO2 "pollution." I would have preferred, as an investor, for the company to have spent the money educating the public on the real science of CO2, but of course, they do not have access to trillions of dollars like the Davos globalists do, so they gave in in an effort to appease the global warming crowd of non-scientific repute. Despite this, oil companies are still throwing off hundreds of millions, if not billions, a free cash flow, which is a clear indication that the fossil fuel industry is here to stay. My take on this is that they should simply speak the scientific truth and then eventually that truth will prevail.
