Originally uploaded to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwttMNlBYKg by Blake Naftel This silent 16mm footage is a compilation of angles from various WFAA-TV photographers from April 2, 1957, the day a F3 tornado roared through portions of Dallas, Texas. For the era, it was the most extensively filmed tornado in history up to that point, presenting the near entire life-cycle of a tornado. Incorporated into hundreds of educational films and documentaries nationwide in the years that followed, this is the bulk of raw footage from that event. Further information on the April 2, 1957 Dallas, Texas tornado: https://www.weather.gov/fwd/dallastor50year This copy from a VHS archive videotape has been enhanced into 1080p 60 HD. It is not a direct to digital film print. ©1957 WFAA-TV.

What lessons can we take from this historic video? For one, they didn't have very good movie cameras. Secondly, the people watching the tornado seem oblivious to the fact that they caused it! AGW! We see them driving all about with inefficient ICEs, burning cheap fossil fuel, driving up atmospheric CO2 levels. The world average was about 310 ppm in 1957, but in Dallas that day my guess is it was well over 400, maybe 500 ppm. (Posting for a friend.)

The Wizard of Oz was filmed in 1939. Video quality was excellent.

(Posting for a friend.) If friend has a gun to your head, that's not a friend. Maybe speak your truth as you know it. "My friend" went in to a sex shop .....

They don`t look very interesting on the inside. I was in one in 1980. Most people don`t realize we had weather back then. See YouTube comments under any storm related video.
